Just 'cuz - and oh boy is it a jumbled mess!

A friend of mine asked me at lunch on Thursday if I was sad. Before I could answer she then asked if I was just "thinking." I jumped on that option and said "just thinking" and left it at that.

But you know what? I am sad. I'd like to say that I don't know the reason for my sadness, but I do. Actually, I should say reasonS for my sadness.

I am basically a lazy person. Yes, I get up nearly every day and go to work, but that's out of necessity. If someone said to me "stay home", I would. Well, at least until the money ran out and we were living on the streets. LOL I do not like to exercise - let me correct that - I HATE exercising. I would rather sit and read a good book, or noodle around on the internet. I've said before and I'll say it again - I'm a TV addict. I wish it wasn't so - kind of - but I also like watching things that take my mind off of my own thoughts and feelings.

I'm sad that I don't like to exercise because I know that exercise supposedly makes you feel better and also gets you fit (naturally), but I just don't even want to. I'm sad that I can talk in my head all I want that I want to lose weight, I want to be healthy, I want to be thinner...but, apparently I'm not willing to do the work to get it. I want to wake up and have the mindset of someone that hasn't the psychological issues I have. I want to be "normal."

A friend of mine has a daughter who is not as healthy and trim as she would like. Her other daughter is a bean pole, but not the other one. I told her that under no circumstances should she say the following phrases to her child:

"Don't worry, I'll tell you when you are too heavy."
"You aren't fat, you are pleasingly plump."
"I'm going to call you Crisco - you know, fat in the can."
"You have good understanding - you know, sturdy legs."

I heard one or more of those phrases pretty much on a daily basis while growing up. I can certainly sympathize with my friend that she's worried about her daughter. She loves her and wants her to be healthy and have a healthy relationship with food. I told her the best to do is just keep minimal 'good' snacks in the house...like junk food...but don't ban them all together because that's not showing her how to handle the life choices that come to pass as we get older.

Bottom line - you cut down on what you eat, eat healthier things and exercise and you will lose weight and end up fit and trim. What is so difficult about this equation? Why can't I wrap my mind around that and just do it? Food has always been a comfort to me. I had a relatively good shape until my father died and then I got pregnant two months later. Since I wasn't with the "father" aka sperm donor. I wasn't working and sat at home and ate because I was sad, because I was mad, because I thought my Dad would've been mad at me and because I was living with my mother, again, even though shortly before my father died, they had separated - life was good for those 7 weeks. My Dad left us a note a couple weeks into his separated life (before he headed in to work) and wrote "today is the first day of the rest of my life"...I see or hear that phrase and it instantly takes me back to that time. I think of what my Dad never got to do, got to see, got to meet. A part of me is relieved that he didn't have to go through the pain and aggravation of every day life, but boy, do I miss that man.

I would love for him to have met my kids...especially my oldest. He is SOOO much like him. I'd like to think that he is "looking down on us" and he's "seen my kids" but I don't think that is something I believe in any more. I used to and maybe if Dad had been around, I'd still believe.

I've been working since I was 14. I'm now 45. 34 years. In the grand scheme of things and when compared with other people, that is not a long time. But, to me, it's a long time. From 1985 until 1995 I was a single mother and had to work if I wanted to get anywhere in life. I've been at my job now for more than 21 years. I love my boss, he's easy to get along with and he's smart as anything - and his office is in another state. It's easy to have a great relationship with a boss who is a 2 1/2 hour drive away. I do, however, think that we would get along fine if I were in his office or vice versa. I would love to not have to work. Not like "oh, take a week off" type of thing, but just knowing that there is nothing I need to get up at 4 a.m. for and hurry out the door to get to work for 6 a.m. I've often said that if I took 2 weeks off in a row, I think I'd end up quitting because that is just too long a time to get used to not getting up and leaving the house. But, my mind knows that I have to work because otherwise we'd be in the poor house. But that doesn't stop me from looking at condo's in Myrtle Beach or down in FL - even if they are like 500 square feet. I don't care. It would mean that I could relax, for the first time in 34 years.

I keep a lot to myself. Someone will ask me how I am doing and I say that I am fine. Do you know why I say I'm fine? So I don't have to listen to "helpful" advice on how to make myself feel better. My brain is not wired that way. I have an extremely cheerful, fun personality on the outside...what is on the inside is a different story. I have thoughts in my head that I can't say because they would hurt someone or they would get someone angry - not anyone in particular, but just someone. So, it stays inside. I go to a shrink...he says "how are things?" You know what I say "things are fine." I am on two types of psych medication to help me not go in to the depths of despair and doing the work that I do, I see some people on disability who take way less psych drugs than I do! How can that be, I ask myself? I just want to say to them, 'buck up asshole, get to work because if I can do it with my highest dosage of medications available, so can you.' Yet some people abuse the system that way. They "think" they are disabled. They are not. Oh sure there are some legitimate people with legitimate issues and maybe I have become cynical over time, but it just galls me the way people take advantage of the "system." What makes me even sadder is that I asked my shrink if he ever saw me not having to take medicine since I had read about people that stopped taking it and did fine. He said no that he does not see me not taking medication to help me get through the day. That made me sad.

And before my husband reads this and starts to assume things...this is not about him...he has 2 fake hips and a fake knee and he does more for this house than anyone I know. He can't do things he'd like to do, but he does the best he can and I do love him for trying to do everything!

so, after just this rambling crap above, the bottom line is that I am sad. I am fat. I hate to be fat. Apparently I hate to exercise or diet more than I hate to be fat. I wonder if the kids or Joe are embarrassed because I am fat. I know I am. I want to wake up with someone else's willpower - why can't I?

Just random thoughts over the course of a couple of days...bottom line = I don't like myself.

Day 30: Whomever you find most attractive in this world

In "this" world? As opposed to...? hahaha Needless to say I will go with my own husband - why else would I want to be with him? He's funny, smart, gentle, kind and has happy eyes and a smile that is awesome. :) Here he is most recently with our oldest son. :)

Day 29: Somewhere you want to visit

I'm thinking if the trip wasn't so long that Australia would be nice, but I think that's more for the accents than the country. :) But, I've wanted to take a cruise to Bermuda for a long time, so I'll go with Bermuda.

The Thief Strikes Again

Another meme - thanks to Cal!

TV Meme - Like Anyone Cares (I care Cal!)

Pick five of your favorite shows, in no particular order, before you read the below questions, then answer them!

1. Prison Break
2. Boomtown
3. Modern Family
4. Friends
5. Criminal Minds

01. Who's your favorite character in 2?

Detective Joel Stevens, played by Donnie Wahlberg.

02. Who's your least favorite character in 1?

Theodore "T-Bag" Bagwell. YIKES! This had to be one of the best rolls of this guy's career (Robert Knepper) because he scared the bejeezus out of me!

03. What's your favorite episode of 4?

The one where Monica tries to make Chandler laugh by putting a turkey on her head. Hysterical! Check out the look on Joey's face when he sees that. I laugh just sitting here thinking of it!

04. What's your favorite season of 5?

Hmmm...I am not a big fan of Mandy Patinkin, so I'll go with the first season that had Joe Montegna as Dave Rossi, season 3.

05. Who is your favorite ship in 1?

Um, don't think there is a ship in #1?

06. Who is your anti-ship in 2?

I'll go with the police car? LOL

07. How long have you watched 1?

Every season, every episode...EXCEPT the DVD 2 hour "bridge" episode which shows what happened between the next to the last episode and the last episode which took place like 3 years later.

08. How did you become interested in 3?

The commercials - couldn't wait to see it!

09. Who's your favorite actor/actress in 4?

Let's go with Lisa Kudrow - her Phoebe was Phabulous!

10. Which do you prefer: Show 1, 2 or 5?

Well that's not right, how can you pick amongst these three? Prison Break is over, Boomtown lasted one season and Criminal Minds has Shemar Moore. I refuse to choose.

11. Which show have you seen more episodes of, 1 or 3?

1 because 3 is a new show this year

12. If you could be anyone from 4, who would you be?

Phoebe

13. How would you kill off your favorite character in 1?

I wouldn't have killed him off! I could've come up with a story as to what happened in between!

14. Give a random quote from 1.

Lincoln: You’ve seen the blueprints?
Michael: Better than that. [shows his tattoos] I’ve got 'em on me.

15. Which character from 5 would be a good guest star on 2?

Oh without a doubt Penelope Garcia! She would rock over there on Boomtown and I would've liked to have seen a little action between her and Neal McDonough's character, David McNorris.

16. Would a 3/4 crossover work?

Oh I'm sure it would. Monica and Chandler were moving to the 'burbs - would've been a perfect set up to have Mitchell and Cameron as neighbors!

17. Pair 2 characters in 1 that would make an unlikely but strangely okay couple.

I'll go with T-Bag and Sucre (LOL!!)

18. Has 5 inspired you in any way?

It's inspired me to not kill people - such a violent show. LOL

19. Overall, which show has a better cast, 2 or 4?

Such differences...2 lasted only a year and was an excellent crime drama, whereas 4 lasted what, 10 years? and created some funny funny moments on the show.

20. Which has better theme music, 3 or 5?

Probably 3 since I can hum it in my head right now and 5 has tinkling piano music that sounds like a horror movie about to go bad! LOL

Day 27: A picture of where you are from

Now this is interesting...so many choices...but, I'll have to go with this one - yup, that's her on the left! On the right is where the one on the left is from! LOL

Day 26: A Picture From One Of The Greatest Days Of Your Life

If I had a picture of my wedding day scanned into this computer, I would put that one up - but, since I don't, and Wings does, please check out his blog (Caffeinated Joe) to see the picture.

Also right up there is when my 3 kids were born...

Day 25: One of your most prized possessions

I'm not veering too far off the path with this one - Joe got me a beautiful engagement ring and Peggy was generous enough to give him the diamond from her old ring - beautiful. The wedding ring was a bonus!

Day 24: Something Embarrassing in Your Room

Oh my...this could be anything...

But, I guess I'll go with the jewelry cleaner I got for my birthday over a year ago that is still sitting on my bureau. Know when I think of cleaning my jewelry? Yup, when I'm going to bed - and who is in the mood to clean jewelry then??? :) Yup, brand new and still in the box!

Day 23: Favorite Music Video

If you can get past the first 60 seconds of the commercial, you can see how awesome this 80s video is!!!

Day 22: Picture Of You On This Day

I don't have a picture of me on this day because I'm 4 days late posting it. It's okay though, you wouldn't have wanted to see a picture of me from 4 days ago. It's not pretty.

Day 21: Favorite Movie Quote

My Favorite

"Just a minute - just a minute. Now, hold on, Mr. Potter. You're right when you say my father was no businessman. I know that. Why he ever started this cheap, penny-ante Building and Loan, I'll never know. But neither you nor anyone else can say anything against his character, because his whole life was - why, in the twenty-five years since he and Uncle Billy started this thing, he never once thought of himself. Isn't that right, Uncle Billy? He didn't save enough money to send Harry to school, let alone me. But he did help a few people get out of your slums, Mr. Potter, and what's wrong with that? Why - here, you're all businessmen here. Doesn't it make them better citizens? Doesn't it make them better customers? You - you said - what'd you say a minute ago? They had to wait and save their money before they even ought to think of a decent home. Wait? Wait for what? Until their children grow up and leave them? Until they're so old and broken down that they... Do you know how long it takes a working man to save five thousand dollars? Just remember this, Mr. Potter, that this rabble you're talking about... they do most of the working and paying and living and dying in this community. Well, is it too much to have them work and pay and live and die in a couple of decent rooms and a bath? Anyway, my father didn't think so. People were human beings to him. But to you, a warped, frustrated old man, they're cattle. Well, in my book he died a much richer man than you'll ever be." - It's a Wonderful Life

Day Twenty: A 10+ Year Old Picture

Here it is...me and my oldest (who is now almost 26) at Hampton Beach - almost 20 years exactly! :)

Day Nineteen: Something That Made You Smile Today

Not much made me smile today since the pup is a psycho and ate my glasses, but hey, I told my daughter that I couldn't get the Lady Gaga song, Bad Romance, out of my head and she just smiles, then blasts it...couldn't help but smile at that - she's such a smart ass! :)

Day 18: Favorite Board Game

Oh so many! And we love playing with our friends (you know who you are!) but I think one of my favorites is Whoonu. Try it - you'll like it!

Equipment
300 cards labeled with random people, places, things, actions, etc.
36 tokens in six different values (1 to 6)
Secret envelope
Preparation
There are different combinations for the number of tokens needed depending on how many people are playing. If there are three participants, use tokens 1 to 4 in stacks of three. If there are four players, use tokens 1 to 6 in stacks of four, tokens 1 to 4 in stacks of five if there are five, and tokens 1 to 5 in stacks of six if there are six. Also, note that there are many different species of cards. Make sure you pick the right ones.

The envelope is given to the player whose birthday is coming up next. This player is the first "Whoozit".

Everyone except the Whoozit receives four cards and the remaining cards are put face down in a pile. Players can look at their cards, but cannot show them to anyone else.

Game play
In each round, players will try to guess the Whoozit's favorite things. For example, a player may have been dealt these cards: Super Bowl Sunday, New York City, string cheese and gardening. He would pick two cards (if there were three or four players) or one card (if there were five or six players) marked with things he thinks the Whoonu prefers.

All the players other than the Whoozit put their chosen cards in the envelope without revealing them. The Whoozit then takes the cards out of the envelope and secretly puts them behind the corresponding tokens 1 least favorite and 6 for most favorite.

The Whoozit reveals the least favorite thing first, reading it aloud. The player who chose this card takes the 1 token and gets one point. The Whoozit continues turning over cards until all of them are revealed and one token from each stack is awarded.

After this process is completed, it's time for a new Whoozit. Everyone passes their cards to player on their left. The player with no cards takes the envelope and becomes the new Whoozit.

All the revealed cards are put in a discard pile. Everyone except the Whoozit draws more cards for a total of four cards in each hand. The game continues until everyone has been the Whoozit and all the tokens are awarded.

Day 17: Childhood Photo

Ahhh...the good old days! hahaha
From the left:
Tom, Jim, Me and Jacki

Day 16: Future tattoos

So many to pick from! I know that I want one of my siblings to design a "Dad" tattoo for all of us to get in memory of my Dad, but since I don't draw, I am at their mercy. I have one of the kids' names already and one of my oldest's initials. I want to have a pair of wings somewhere (chest??) for my love. :) So too many to pick but I definitely want more!

Day 15: Current Grades

Let me grade myself:

Weight loss: F -
Work: B + (I've had a few days off)
front steps: B + considering that Joe and I had no idea what we were doing
kitchen floor: A - we did a damn good job!

Day 14: Favorite purchase

I'm a chick...I love to shop...how can I pick just one purchase? Hmmm...okay, guess I have to. I'm going to go with the laptop desk I have because, basically, being so short and chunky (HAHAHAHA), I have no lap...so this desk that spans my recliner to put my laptop on wins the race! :)

Day 13: Favorite Memory

Oh there are so many to choose from! Any memory that has to do with my Dad is intensely special to me. Having kids is always a good memory because you forget how friggin painful it is! hahaha

But, my favorite memory is when I married my wonderful husband. Almost 15 years now. Love him just as much now as I did then!

Day 12: Where your family is from

I am part French and part Irish. I started a geneaology tree once for my grandmother and one thing after another happened and then I never finished it. She just turned 89 - think she'll still want it? LOL

Day 11: Recent picture of yourself

Not too recent, but recent enough - at the Basketball Hall of Fame!

Saturday, April 10, 2010

Day 10: favorite outfit

I suppose many people are going to say a certain dress they have or a favorite pair of jeans...but, me, being a fat chick, is going off the grid and saying my favorite outfit is whatever happens to fit on any particular day. I wonder if I was every to be a normal size again, would I even have a favorite outfit? Probably.

Friday, April 9, 2010

Day 9: Favorite flower

Daisy - a beautiful, simple flower. I just love it. It is one of those pure, simple joys of life!

Day 8: Favorite room

This is my favorite room - it's not in my house but I wish it was! Our kitchen doesn't come anywhere near the gorgeousness of this kitchen. Sigh.

Day 7: Favorite TV Show

Oh dear...this will be the hardest thing ever. I am a huge TV addict. I like to get taken away into other worlds where I don't have to think too hard. I watch a lot of true crime stories, a lot of HGTV and I like comedies.

Do I really have to choose a favorite? EEEK!

Okay, here it goes...the show that makes me laugh the most is Friends. I've previously posted the little clip of Monica with the turkey on her head and the look on Joey's face. Just too funny. So I would have to say that is my favorite show - I can put it on any episode, any day and still just laugh...

That being said...I laugh my ass off at Rules of Engagement. I could not stop laughing, couldn't breathe from last night's episode. Awesome.

Day 6: Favorite Song

I have already read Joe's post which lists his favorite as Unforgettable - the version with Nat King Cole and his daughter Natalie - many years apart. We loved it enough to choose it for our wedding song. It is absolutely one of my favorite songs.

Another song that I really enjoy is This Used To Be My Playground by Madonna.

This used to be my playground (used to be)
This used to be my childhood dream
This used to be the place I ran to
Whenever I was in need
Of a friend
Why did it have to end
And why do they always say

Don't look back
Keep your head held high
Don't ask them why
Because life is short
And before you know
You're feeling old
And your heart is breaking
Don't hold on to the past
Well that's too much to ask

Dave 5: Favorite food

Chips and salsa. Nachos. Who would've thunk that I would eat anything remotely full of peppers and onions, etc. But, the more salsa the better. Not much better than whatever salsa they give us with the chips at Chili's. Of course, "real" Mexican food is probably not like that, but that's okay...I like what I like. Oh, no olives and no sour cream. Yuckers.

Sunday, April 4, 2010

Day 4: Favorite Book

Thurston House - I could read that thing any day at any part of the story. It's one of those books that transcends several generations and you can picture these people in your mind's eye. If you have a chance, check it out.

Saturday, April 3, 2010

Day 3: Favorite Musician

Here I have to go with Steven Tyler...yeah, I know he's in his 60's and has had drug problems up the wazoo, but I think it gives his voice a distinctive sound!

I'm more a fan of certain songs, rather than specific albums or artists, but I'll always go for anything to do with Steven Tyler. :)

Day two - favorite movie

Ahhh....there are so many different ones for various reasons. There are some awesome comedy performances, drama performances, horror performances...I seriously don't think I can name just one...but if I had to...I'd say it's "The Net" with Sandra Bullock - no laughing! I can watch that anytime!

Others I can watch at anytime, no matter what part I happen to pop in on:

Overboard
Big Business
Speed
It's A Wonderful Life
Rear Window
True Lies

and probably many more that I have forgotten!

Day one

Favorite actor - has got to be, hands down, Jimmy Stewart. I did love him in It's a Wonderful Life and Rear Window but I think the role that I love the best for him is when he's playing/being Elwood in "Harvey". Such a talent that man was. If we think modern day actor's, I'd probably go with Johnny Depp (no, not because my daughter thinks he's a god), but because he really becomes the person in the movies he does.

April Challenge

April Challenge

Jumbled Meme....from Cal's page

1. What were doing 10 years ago?

Same thing I'm doing now, working.

2. Five snacks that you enjoy in a perfect, non weight-gaining world?

Pizza, Hershey's milk chocolate or Hebert's white chocolate, chips and dip, taco's, peppermint ice cream

3. Five things you would do if you were a billionaire:

Pay off the debt of everyone in my family.
Donate to charity.
Donate to the day care center that helped me back when I was a single mother.
Donate to the town I grew up in and live in now.
Spend freely.

4. Three of your habits:

Facebook (more an addiction than a habit), eat, turn the pillow sideways to sleep.

5. Five jobs that you've have had:

newspaper delivery person, cashier in a convenience store, cashier in a religious store, clerk/typist at city hall, complaint responder

6. Five places that you've lived:

Leicester, Worcester, Cherry Valley, Rochdale (for 2 days) and that's it. No where else.

7. Five things that you did yesterday:

Worked, Facebook, watched television, ate, took a hot bath

8. Five people you would want to get to know more about:

Keanu Reeves, Princess Diana, Doris Day, Axl Rose, Shemar Moore

9. Abortion: for or against it?

Pro-choice - who are we to force others to do what we would do ourselves?

10. Do you think the world would fail with a female president?

Hmmm...didn't know there was a World President. Interesting. But, I don't know about failure. I agree with Call that men have f*%^ed things up for long enough. But not sure it will happen in my lifetime.

11. Do you believe in the death penalty?

I stole part of Cal's answer because it's right on: On a case by case basis depending on the severity of the crime committed. And no more than a month between sentencing and execution. Special judges need to be set up to deal with all appeals but 30 days later - it's done.

12. Do you wish marijuana would be legalized already?

Yeah, I think so, then I wouldn't have to worry about certain people I know getting arrested for it. LOL

13. Are you for or against premarital sex?

I would have to say against, but that's because I was a single mother at age 18 and let me tell you, it was NOT easy.

14. Do you think same sex marriage should be legalized?

Definitely.

15. Do you think it's wrong that so many Hispanics are illegally moving to the USA?

I don't think it's wrong and it's definitely not just one culture - lots of people want to come here. When you see what they came from, you can see why. United States is both hated and envied. Sometimes I hate it too. Sometimes I envy it.

16. Should the alcohol age be lowered to eighteen?

18 is fine. My kids will not drink until they are 30 anyway. Okay, stop laughing. Yes, you, stop laughing. Not funny!

17. Should the war in Iraq be called off?

I think we should get out of any place where we are not wanted. Then they can see if they like their lives as it is without any assistance. If they then asked for help, give it to them.

18. Assisted suicide is illegal: do you agree?

No. Do what you want to do for yourself. I think I would help someone if asked and I would hope someone would do the same for me.

19. Do you believe in spanking children?

I have smacked my kids a time or two - have some teens in your house, that'll do it. I don't make it a habit and it was pretty much a reaction thing - which I should be adult enough to know you shouldn't do.

20. Do you worry that others will judge you from reading some of your answers?

I'm always afraid of being judged. Not so much for my answers here or for that matter, on any blog. But, in real life if I go to a buffet I figure that people are saying stuff about the fat beast up there. I know this is so because I am one of those people who says stuff (not aloud) about anyone heavier than me up there. I'm pathetic and sad. Being fat makes you that way.

Theme Thursday - Mirror

When I look in the mirror I do not like what I see. I see someone who has a lot of weight to lose. I see someone whose face has more and more wrinkles every day, yet, I still get pimples. How is that fair? I see someone who has crazy curls, who needs a haircut and who needs to color up some grays. I see a jutting chin and a bulb nose and no symmetry to my face.

When I look in the mirror I see someone who doesn’t look like my father or my mother. Where did I come from? Who knows? My mother always thought it was funny to say I was the “milkman’s” because I didn’t resemble my brothers and sisters. Now that we are adults, we all resemble each other…so my fear of not having the same parents is moot.

When I look in the mirror I see a 45 year old woman who has to lose a lot of weight, has more and more wrinkles every day, has pimples on occasion, has crazy curls, who needs a haircut, who needs to color up some grays, who has a jutting chin and a bulb nose and no symmetry to the face, but, if I don’t look in the mirror, I’m none of those things.

Theme Thursday - Bread

One of my favorite groups growing up was David Gates and Bread - such a mellow (no pun intended!) group and they had a lot of top songs but my favorite, especially now that I have a daughter, is simply called "Daughter." So this is dedicated to my daughter, Nicole. :)

Daughter - don't give your love to the first man you see.
Just bide your time so your heart will be free to find the one,
Girl you don't have to run.

Daughter - don't think that love has gone out of style,
Just some folks every once in a while don't understand
How this world was planned.

Now I know you're wondering how
You know when the real thing is comin' your way,
When you live for him and not you
You'll know that it's truly comin' to stay.

Daughter - I know it's hard to make yourself wait,
But when the right man comes it's never too late
So don't you cry ,
He'll be here by and by... and steal your heart away.

Although that was probably one not too many of you have heard, I bet you have heard this one:

More meme - taken from Canadian Cal

1. Name someone with the same birthday as you.

Susan Dey is the only one I can think of off the top of my head.

2. Where was your first kiss?

3rd grade, Memorial School, Jody Becker.

3. Have you ever hit someone of the opposite sex? If yes, why?

Yep, mostly in jest. Once seriously when I tried to make John wake up - little did I know he was having a seizure.

4. Have you ever sung in front of a large number of people? When?

Nope. I did try out for a high school musical back in the day but was assigned to make up. That tells a lot.

5. What is the first thing you notice about the other sex?

Eyes and smile.

6. What really turns you off?

Men who think they are all that and a bag of chips. I hate pompous asses.

7. What is your biggest mistake?

My biggest mistake turned out to be one of my proudest - I got pregnant in my teens and had my now 25 year old son and raised him on my own until Wings and I got married when my son was 11.

8. Have you ever hurt yourself on purpose?

I've thought of it - but have never acted on anything suicidal.

9. Say something totally random about yourself.

I have a façade that very few people see beyond.

10. Has anyone ever said you looked like a celebrity?

I actually won 2nd place in a Buffy look-a-like contest. And for you young'uns: Not Buffy the Vampire Slayer - Buffy from Family Affair. LOL

11. Do you still watch kiddie movies or TV shows?

Oh definitely - I actually watched Spongebob today!

12. Are you comfortable with your height?

I am definitely too short.

13. What is the most romantic thing someone of the preferred sex has done for you?

He did a scavenger hunt and the last "find" was him, proposing!

14. When do you know it's love?

When no matter what kind of a bitch I am, Joe hasn't left me yet.

15. What's something that really annoys you?

The way people don't acknowledge personal space anymore. And I don't know if it's a culture thing or what not; but stop frickin' breathing down my neck in line. And good lord, don't even go to the side of me in line...I will rip your ever loving heart out.

Meme of Honour

1. You can press a button that will make any one person explode. Who would you blow up?

Right now, Pat Robertson. Always, Rush Limbaugh.

2. You can flip a switch that will wipe any band or musical artist out of existence. Which one will it be?

Right now, the Jackson 5. Go Away!

3. Who would you really like to just punch in the face?

Pat Robertson

4. What is your favorite cheese?

Cheddar

5. You can only have one kind of sandwich. Every sandwich ingredient known to humankind is at your immediate disposal. What kind will you make?

Turkey, yellow mustard, pickles, tomatoes and cucumbers on cruncy cheesy bread.

6. You have the opportunity to sleep with the movie celebrity of your choice. We are talking no-strings-attached sex and it can only happen once. Who is the lucky celebrity of your choice?

Shemar Moore!!!! OH YUM!!!!

7. You have the opportunity to sleep with the music-celebrity of your choice. Who do you pick?

Back in the day I would've said Steven Tyler - not so much any more. How about Adam Lambert - yeah, I know he's gay, but damn, he's smokin hot!

8. Now that you’ve slept with two different people in a row, you seem to be having an excellent day because you just came across a hundred-dollar bill on the sidewalk. Holy shit, a hundred bucks! How are you gonna spend it?

Dinner with the family.

9. You just got a free plane ticket to anywhere. You have to depart right now. Where are you gonna go?

Australia

10. Upon arrival to the aforementioned location, you get off the plane and discover another hundred-dollar bill. Shit! Now that you are in the new location, what are you gonna do?

Hire a tour guide.

11. An angel appears out of Heaven and offers you a lifetime supply of the alcoholic beverage of your choice. It is…?

I can't drink.

12. Rufus appears out of nowhere with a time-traveling phone booth. You can go anytime in the PAST. What time are you traveling to and what are you going to do when you get there?

June 18, 1983 and I would a. tell my Dad how much I love him; and b. call an EMT while he's out mowing the lawn.

13. You discover a beautiful island upon which you may build your own society. You make the rules. What is the first rule you put into place?

No classes.

14. You have been given the opportunity to create the half-hour TV show of your own design. What is it called and what’s the premise?

Make Me Laugh. And just have on it really really funny people!

15.What is your favorite curse word?

I like to annoy the kids so I usually say the F word...but I really should stop that, you know, cuz they are 14 and almost 12. LOL

16.One night you wake up because you heard a noise. You turn on the light to find that you are surrounded by MUMMIES. The mummies aren’t really doing anything, they’re just standing around your bed. What do you do?

F'ing call 911!!!!

17. Your house is on fire, holy shit! You have just enough time to run in there and grab ONE inanimate object. Don’t worry, your loved ones and pets have already made it out safely. So what’s the item?

Hope Chest - I don't care how I would carry it out, but I would.

18. The Angel of Death has descended upon you. Fortunately, the Angel of Death is pretty cool and in a good mood, and it offers you a half-hour to do whatever you want before you bite it. Whatcha gonna do in that half-hour?

Drive around the city and hit all the f'ing jaywalkers and troublemakers who pretty much crawl across the street and don't give a f*** who is there.

19. You accidentally eat some radioactive vegetables. They were good, and what’s even cooler is that they endow you with the super-power of your choice! What’s it gonna be?

Fly

20. You can re-live any point of time in your life. The time-span can only be a half-hour, though. What half-hour of your past would you like to experience again?

I should say what Wings said: 11:45 PM to 12:15 AM, New Year's Eve 1994 into New Year's Day 1995...and as much as I loved that 1/2 hour of my life, I would have to go back to that 1/2 hour before my Dad died and hopefully do something to save him.

21.You can erase any horrible experience from your past. What will it be?

My Dad dying and finding John - I will never fully recover.

22. You got kicked out of the country for being a time-traveling heathen who sleeps with celebrities and has super-powers. But check out this cool shit… you can move to anywhere else in the world! Bitchin’! What country are you going to live in now?

Australia

23. This question still counts, even for those of you who are under age. Check it out. You have been eternally banned from every single bar in the world except for ONE. Which one is it gonna be?

Chili's

24. Hopefully you didn’t mention this in the super-powers question…. If you did, then we’ll just expand on that. Check it out… Suddenly, you have gained the ability to FLOAT!!! Whose house are you going to float to first, and be like “Dude, check it out…I can FLOAT!”?

I'd have to hope that my brothers were at the same house because if they were they would think they were hallucinating and I would laugh hysterically!

25. The constant absorption of magical moonbeams mixed with the radioactive vegetables you consumed earlier has given you the ability to resurrect the dead famous-person of your choice. So which celebrity will you bring back to life?

Famous person? Hmmm...my Dad was on Candlepins for Cash - does that count as celebrity? If not, I'll go with Ted Kennedy - only because I would've liked to have seen him get his healthcare thing passed.

26. The Celestial Gates of Beyond have opened, much to your surprise because you didn’t think such a thing existed. Death appears. As it turns out, Death is actually a pretty cool entity, and happens to be in a fantastic mood. Death offers to return the friend/family-member/person, etc. of your choice to the living world. Who will you bring back?

without a doubt, my Dad.

27. What’s your theme song?

Used to be my Playground.
